The vast age of the earth is not an assumption. Science builds on previously gained knowledge. You might say that science uses this knowledge as a telescope to view other topics more clearly. On the other hand, creationism rests on the assumption that thebible is scientifically true. If anything does not match the bible, it is not true, because the bible says so. Talk about circular reasoning. Young Earth Creationism is a distorted view of the world, caused by invalid assumptions. |
