(Cont.) It is the inability of dividing between truth and falsehood (or that any sort of discernable truth can be discerned and comprehended by us) that is leading to a breakdown in the most basic aspects of logic and reasoning. C.S. Lewis correctly observed that once we have thrown out the logic of the Creator (who has revealed to us the truth of an event we can in no other wise know or observe), we have thus opened the door to irrationality and denial of knowing the truth. The claim that “there is no truth except that there is no truth” is a self dissolving philosophy, and is unfortunately the stuff of many a materialist’s starting point. |
