  Paul G. Taylor

In reply to Paul (1): -- Teach the facts, along with the controversy over how the facts should be interpreted, then young people will learn how to think rather than ‘what to think’. [- as determined for them by some ‘higher authority’ -shades of religionpeeping through here!] Paul wrote: -- “I'm frustrated that I'm asked not to teach ideas about a very old Earth.” I think that all any fair-minded person requires is that all sides of the controversy be fairly presented, or at the very least the are permitted to know that there is not complete agreement on the interpretation of most of the evidence used to support the evolutionary ideas. Why not teach all the evidence, including that which is inconsistent with mainstream theory, and let the kids make up their own minds about what it means? 4/23/2004 4:12:14 AM
